Nothing is better than being with family and seeing our kids laugh and play together! Ever since we moved to Texas that is one part that I miss the most, but I love when I get together with mi amiga Christa that lives here because it’s just like being “home”. Christa and I were neighbors as kids growing up in Detroit, Mi, I actually remember when she was born, so it’s pretty amazing that here we are 20+ years later with our kids playing together in the beautiful Texas sun! But that’s what family and the Dia del Niño tradition is all about… seeing our kids grow and enjoy all the wonderful things in life!

No Bake Churro Squares made with Cereal con Cariño

Dia del Niño is a tradition that we as Latinos share in celebration of our children growing, learning and loving one another! I love how no matter the age difference Mariya and Christian can play together for hours just by enjoying each others company and snacking on their favorite cereal Honey Nut Cheerios!  It’s so funny because their age difference is just about the same as myself and Christa, and we use to play outside and make the best of our days just like this!

One thing that these two love to do is read their bilingual learning books from Lil’ Libros while snacking on Honey Nut Cheerios Cereal con Cariño! I really love how General Mills celebrates all the ways people come together by sharing their stories of cariño in the video series that includes two amazing influencers Anjelica and Juan from Juan of Words!
