Friday is our Pizza night and nothing is better then making it fresh from scratch! Well not exactly from scratch because I couldn’t see myself spinning pizza dough at all! But my favorite kind is this Barbecue Chicken Pizza recipe! It’s the perfect switch up from the traditional pepperoni and cheese pizza! What I love about this pizza is that it has all my favorite veggies in it. Literally tomato, onion and green pepper I can eat with any meal, steak, chicken …. even on potatoes!
This Barbecue Chicken Recipe really has a kick!
Barbecue Chicken Pizza
Are you looking for a pizza with a little kick? My favorite thin crust pizza is made with veggies, chicken and the HEB original Barbecue Sauce that really gives it an incredible taste!
Saute the chicken in pan with salt & pepper to taste!
Add in Chopped tomatoes, onion, and green pepper and cook with the chicken until lightly browned.
While your chicken is cooking start to spread the sauce on the pizza crust!
Add cheese and put it in the oven to bake for 5-10 minutes.
Add the sauteed chicken, veggies and drizzle the barbecue sauce over the pizza and bake for remaining 20 minutes. (Bake longer for a more crisp pizza)
The end result is so delicious, I love making this pizza over a store baked any day! If you are really into spicy you can add hot peppers and really make it kick!
I really love using the HEB brand for my pizza crust, sauce and barbecue sauce. If you have an HEB near you, then you can find all of these items. Just make sure the Barbecue Sauce is an original recipe and not a honey, or brown sugar type!
What’s your favorite topping on your pizza?
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy!
