In case you missed the memo Vintage Style is back and is here to stay! I was talking to a friend the other day and she was attending an 80’s party and realized everything that she was looking for was so popular at the moment, from crushed velvet to high-waisted jeans! But what’s even better is the real vintage vibes that are making a comeback! Canela Vintage is an online and local Mexican – American inspired vintage shop that is based in San Antonio Texas! Elisa Kern (Aka: Canela) the owner of this magical place was born in raised in the Rio Grand Valley of Texas and her love and knowledge for Vintage is like no other. I tell her all the time that “not just anyone could have created Canela Vintage” it’s definitely 100% her vibe, personality and love for style and clothing that has brought this to life.
Canela is not only my dear friend but also is my Co-host for our podcast Girl Talk y Mas! A passion that we both had and started this adventure and it’s been an amazing experience that has helped us both grow! You can listed to episode 4 and hear how Canela came across the idea to open a vintage store and where her inspiration comes from, its’ a pretty cool story!
This past weekend Canela Vintage participated in her first Fashion Show in San Antonio Texas. The Chill Vibes Art and Fashion Show was held at Breathe Night Lounge and it was so amazing to see all the styles of vintage come to life through Canelas eyes! She truly has a vision for real vintage fashion, she goes thrift shopping every week to find the most unique pieces to add to her collections. Her online store has caught the eye of vintage guru and T.V. personality Perez Hilton, she’s shipped items from New Jersey to California, and that’s just the beginning.
Canela Vintage has clothing for Men, Women, Children and specialty vintage items such as albums, magazines and cameras. Her collections all represent something special from Aloha Tropical to Lush Vibes everyone can find something that fits your style.
